Just when you were about to embark on a raucous rampage, egging food trucks around the city for taking all the good parking spots, the treacly talented Miss Molly of The Sweets Truck -an amalgamation of some of LA’s most delectable spots including Auntie Em’s, BabyCakesNYC and Cookie Casa -redeems her race of road rolling misfits with an innovative envisioning of the foodtruck’s future.

With the gaggle of mobile eateries unceremoniously clustered around every other corner about the eastside, she realized that passively awaiting an onslaught of customers is no longer going to cut the cake (so to speak). In turn, she has ganged up with the gents over at Verdugo Bar to present a series of Craft Beer and Dessert pairings “Sinfully Sweet Sundays!”

When we asked Molly about the seemingly unavoidable downfall of the food truck industry she said, “The Sweets Truck is not about following a trend and making as much money as possible, it’s about creating community, connecting people and creating events where you can come together to experience (and talk about) amazing dessert, great coffee, sweet service and anything else that comes to topic.”

Look for them at LA’s first Red Velvet Extravaganza this sumer, celebrating the vast variations of velvetyness happening all around LA.
